          Rick Lombardy
(aka Crazy Rick) has been a drummer most of his life. His family's store, Lombardy Music, was the hangout for Sandusky musicians for decades. MSC guitarist Tommy Speir took lessons as a grade schooler from Rick's brother, Donnie. MSC singer Brad Linton spent more time than money in the store, where three-quarters of the band met over thirty years ago.
Rick has a powerful drumming style, turning drumsticks into wood shavings within a couple sets. He's played with at least a dozen bands, including The Resisters, The Distractions, Rush Hour, Spazz, and most recently, Mafia Swim Club. When he's not beating his drums senseless, he and Sheila Johnson run Crazy Rick's, his consignment store. Rick calls Catawba Island home, where he and Sheila live happily ever after.            Mike Papazian also comes from a musical family. His dad, Steve, is one of the region's top drummers, and his mom, Faith, is an accomplished singer. Brother Brian is a guitarist in Seattle. Mike is the youngest member of Mafia Swim Club, but brings a wealth of experience to the band. He's played with Uncle Meat, Rumours, Monkey Love, and other regional acts.
In addition to bass and vocal duties for MSC, Mike still tours with Rumours and does a solo act when he's not booked elsewhere. He also hosts Jam Nite at several area venues. Four songs from his 12 song solo CD, The Mesh, are featured on our site. (His titles are all in capital letters.) He played all the instruments himself. Mike calls Lakeside / Marblehead home. Type Mike Papazian in the search bar at www.funcoast.com for related articles.

Brad Linton sings lead and plays rhythm guitar for the band. He's also a songwriter, having written or collaborated on more than a hundred songs. His latest CD, Major Wood, with producer / drummer Mark Baumbusch, is featured on our site. (See the credits on our live nude chat page for contributing musicians.) Brad's played in a couple other bands over the past thirty years, including Fragile, Social Death, Icarus, 4 Outta 5 Drs.,  Anomaly, and Spazz.
He writes all the material on the MSC website, and wrote a music column, Rock Island, in Funcoast magazine. (Type Brad Linton in the search bar at www.funcoast.com ) Brad lives in Sandusky with his smokin' girlfriend, Anne, and her somewhat well-behaved sons.

Tommy Speir is Mafia Swim Club's silent but deadly lead guitarist. (Tom's the only member of MSC who doesn't sing.) While taking lessons from Rick's brother, Donnie, Tom used to make the twenty mile round trip on his bicycle, guitar balanced on his handlebars. That kind of devotion to his instrument has made him a superb player. Some of Tommy's biggest fans are other guitarists. He's played in Locust, Fragile, Rush Hour, and Spazz, among others.
When he's not on stage or in rehearsal, Tom is the greenhouse foreman for the City of Sandusky. He and his crew are responsible for the fantastic foliage in the City's outstanding parks. He also has his own landscaping and lawn care business. Tom also makes his home in Sandusky. Type Tom Speir in the search bar at www.funcoast.com or www.sanduskyregister.com for related articles.
